पर/के ऊपर- की सात अंग्रेजी

On (पर/के ऊपर)- स्पर्श अवस्था में ऊपरी स्थिति दर्शाते समय।

• (1) There is a cap on Tinku’s head.
• (ii) The book is on the table.

Over/ Above (के ऊपर) – कुछ ऊपर स्तिथ रहने पर

• There is a fan over/ above Neha’s head.

Upon ( के ऊपर) – गतिशीलता रहनं पर

• Some boys were throwing stones on/upon the bull.

At(पर/में) – 

• He is at home.

In (पर) – Believe – in

• I’ve firm belief in Krishna.
• I hardly believe in him

Up (पर/के ऊपर)- पेड़, पहाड़, पानी के साथ ग्राफ में ऊपरी स्तर दर्शाते समय।

• (i) He climbed up the tree.
• (ii) Some tourists were mounting/ climbing up the hill.
• (iii) Water rose up/high.

Across (के दोनों ओर) – स्थिति के लिए ।

• (i) A satchel(school bag) was hanging across his shoulders.
• (ii) The Howrah Bridge is situated across the river, Hooghly.

Across (के उस पर) – ऊपरी सतह से ऊपर जाने या होने का भाव रहने पर।

• He swam across the river.

About (इर्द – गिर्द) – place

• A road-Romeo was roaming about the girls’ hostel.
  (गर्ल्स हॉस्टल के इर्द-गिर्द)

About (लगभग) – संख्या/परिणाम/आंकड़ा/उम्र/समय etc.

• About 400 people attended the meeting.

About (के बारे में) – Somebody/something

• What are you thinking about (मेरे बारे में) me?

Round ( चारों ओर ) – निश्चित परिपथ रहने पर ।

• The Earth moves round the sun.

Around ( चारों ओर ) – निश्चित परिपश्य रहने पर ।

• Some women were moving around the peepal tree to worship God.

Around (at about) (लगभग) – समय के पहले।

• He came here around / at about 5 P.M.

For (तक) – Period of time के पहले Past Indefinite में

• He studied for four hours. (4 घंटे तक)

By (के अनुसार) –

• (i) What is the time by your watch?
• (ii) What is the time by your country?

After (के अनुसार) – Author/ Poet/Novelist/ etc.

• (i) What, after Jerome k Jerome is the funniest episode in his story. “Three Men in a Boat?

 

For ( भर ) + the whole day/night

through (भर) + the night/day

Throughout (भर)- The night/day

• She kept on sobbing for the whole night.
• Or, She kept on sobbing all through the night.
• Or, She kept on sobbing throughout the night.

Throughout /through (से होकर) – Place (अनिश्चित रहने पर)

• A merchant was passing through/ throughout a forest.(से होकर).

for (के लिए) – Somebody/ Some/ कारण

• I can do anything else for you but after marriage (तुम्हारे लिए).
• my boss scolded me for the delay.

Beside ( बगल में) – स्थान और अस्थायी स्थिति दर्शाने के लिए

• There is a banyan (बरगद) tree beside my home.

By ( बगल में किनारे) – अस्थायी स्थिति दर्शाने के लिए |

• (I) Dikshaa is sitting by/beside Bhavna.
• (ii) An old man was lying by/beside the roadside.

Along (किनारे-किनारे/से होकर) – हर पल किनारा बदलने का भाव अथवा हर किनारा का संकेत होने का भाव रहने पर । 

• (1) A couple of lovers was walking along the road. (सड़क के किनारे-किनारे /से होकर)
• (ii) Some buildings, plants and factories, hotels, parks have been developed along the Ganges. (Along– हर किनारा)

“में” की अंग्रेजी– Special

In(में)- देश राज्य/राजधानी/बड़ा शहर etc.
in Patna, in Delhi, in Bihar, in London. in India. etc.

At (में)- छोटा अंचल, शहर, स्थान
at Fatuha, at Kankarbagh, at Danapur,
Mahendru, at Khemnichak, etc.

At (में)- बड़ा शहर ….. किंत उस शहर के किसी सीमित, किसी खास क्षेत्र को संकेत करते हुए।

• (i) The epidemic broke out at Patna.
• (ii) The epidemic broke out in Patna.

In (में)- भीतरी स्थिति में (सक्रियता का भाव दशांने के लिए।)

• There are some benches in the class-room.

In (में)- Month/Year Scason का नाम
In January, In winter, in 2021, etc

Into (में)- गतिशीलता का भाव रहने पर/दर्शाने पर

• He jumped into the river.

On(में)- दिशा का नाम, सीमा पर स्थित रहने पर

• The Indian Ocean is located on the south of India.

In (में) – दिशा का नाम; भीतरी स्थिति रहने पर

• Chennai is located in the south india.

In (में) – period of time; Future Indefinite Tense में

• She will complete the task in (में/के भीतर) two hours.

“By” Special

By (से) – By boat, by train, by ship, by tram, by airplane., etc.

By (किनारे/बगल में) –

• (i) He is sitting by me.
• (ii) An old man was lying by the roadside.

By (तक) – Point of time; Future Indefinite Tense में

• She will return home by (तक) the evening.

By (द्वारा) – Passive Voice में V3 के बाद

• A letter was written by me.

‘of’ Special

Of (में से) – संख्या-सूचक Phrase में : for more click here

Of(पर) –

• I am proud of you. (तुम पर)

Of (के बारे में) –

• I spoke to the lawyer of (के बारे में) case.

Speak → to → somebody (व्यक्ती)
Speak→ of → something (वस्तु,आदमी को छोड़कर)

• He told me of/about his going there. (उसके वहां जाने के के बारे में)

Note:-Told के बाद of या about लगा सकते है, हिन्दी अर्थ ‘के बारे में’ होगा ।

Of(का/के/की)- संबंध दर्शाने के लिए

• The Government of India
• The President of India
• The level of Sugar blood
• The velocity of a car
• The Principal of D.A.V. School
• The manager of the SBI etc.

Under(नीचे)- किसी आधार /आच्छादन के नीचे की स्थिति

• (i) There is a car under the table.
• (ii) The merchant was sleeping under a tree.
• (iii) She hid the love letter under the pillow after seeing her father.

Under (उम्र सीमा) – खेल प्रतियोगिता में

• The under 19 cricket tournament

Under →The instruction / direction / supervision/ leadership / circumstance etc.

• They are organising the blood – donation camp under the instruction/direction/supervision/leadership of the General Secretary.
• I have to face difficulties under the circumstances of contrarieties.

Underneath (नीचे)- गड़ा/दमा रहने के भाव होने पर खजाना ।

• The treasure was hidden underneath the ground.

Underground – (भूमिगत /लोगों के नजरों से गायब)

Beneath (नीचे)- नीचे किंतु बगल का भाव रहने पर।

• There is a door-mat beneath the door.

down (नीचे)- नीचला स्तर या ढाल में नीचे की ओर भाव रहने पर।

• He came down the hill.
• The price of Petrol went down.

(a) Below ( नीचे) निम्नलिखित भाव रहने पर

• Ex. – The rules are given below/as follows / the following.

(b) Below – परिस्थिति का स्तर पर

• Ex. – The Government of India pays more attention to the people below poverty line.

(c) Below – Age (संवैधानिक कानून रहने पर)

• Ex- The citizens, below 18 are not allowed to vote in any elections in India.

Near(पास/नजदीक) –

• There is a wall near the garden.

Behind (पीछे) –

• There is a park behind the stadium.

In front of (के सामने)-

• There is a Bank in front of the hospital.

Against (से सटकर/के सहारे)

• There is a ladder against the wall. (दीवार से सटकर/ के सहारे)

Against (के विपरीत दिशा में) –

• The speed of the boat was very slow because it’s being sailed against the stream.

After (के बाद)-

• After going to market, he bought some essential commodities.

Before (के पहले/से पहले) –

• Always think before speaking.

Onto (उपर से नीचे तक) –

• During my marriage the lighting was decorated onto my building. (onto = on to)

Towards (की ओर)- गतिशीलता के साथ निरूद्देश्य भाव रहने पर

• (i) Some boys are moving towards the market for time-pass.
• (il) Some boys are rushing towards the stadium.

On (को)-दिन का नाम/तारीख का नाम

• (i) Students do not go to school on Sunday.
• (ii) He was born on 6th October.

Till (तक) – time/O’clock/AM/PM: for more click here

• He stayed at the hotel till Monday.

Up to – O’clock/ AM/PM

• He stayed here up to/till 5 PM.

By (तक )- Point of Time; Future Indefinite Tense में

Until (तक … नहीं) –for more click here

• He did not return home until evening (शाम न होने तक)

In case of (के शर्त पर/की दिशा)- दुसरी घटना में will/shall/etc अवश्य होना चाहिए ।

• In case of studying hard, he will (दूसरी घटना) pass the Exam.

On account of – Because of = By virtue of (के कारण)

• On account of/Because of/ By virtue of studying hard, he passed in the examination

Due to (के कारण) – Noun (मानवीय या अमानवीय कारण के साथ)

• We cancelled the meeting due to the bad weather(अमानवीय घटना)

Owing to (के कारण) – (केवल मानवीय कारण के साथ)

• Owing to his illness(मानवीय घटना), he could not go to college.

Behalf of (की और से)–

• The Manager began to bid in an auction on behalf of his company.

Instead of – In place of – In lieu of (के बदले): for more click here

• Rahul attended the wedding party instead of in place of/ in lieu of his father.

Through ( के माध्यम से) –for more click here

• She threw away garbage through the window.

By dint of / By means of = के माध्यम से

• He attained success by means of hard labour.

Off (बंद/से दूर)-

• (a) Switch off the light / Turn off the light.

Off (दूरी)– किसी स्थान से दूर का भाव दर्शाने के लिए off का प्रयोग होता है।

• My home is 10 km off the station.

Note:- I am far from my goal.

Back (पीछे/वापस) –

• Come back (वापस आओ)
• Go back (वापस जाओ)
• Move back (पीछे हटो)

Note :- Return/Reccde/Restore/Retreat etc. के साथ back का प्रयोग नहीं होता है

• Ex. – He returned back from Delhi last night.

While (के समय) – V4

Note:

(i) While जब linker के रूप में होगा, तो उसके बाद sub होगा।

(ii) While जब preposition होगा तो उसके बाद V4 होगा ।

• Ex. – Don’t talk while eating.(खाने के समय/ खाते समय /खाते-खाते) )
